Mountain Biking

Whether you’re a hardcore downhiller, or a jungle trail rider, or you simply crave for a leisure ride on flat bike trails, the Philippines is for you and you don’t even have to go far from Manila. There are excellent bike bike trails in the outskirts of the capital namely those in San Mateo, Rizal, and Santa Rosa, Laguna. But for demanding technical riding, you must try out the Aeta Jungle Luge trail in Subic Bay Freeport, or head off to Baguio City. It’s a jump-off point for many mountain bike trails that begin at the outskirts of the city and take riders as far as La Union and Nueva Vizcaya. Sagada is also a popular destination for mountain bikers. The Visaya Region is likewise dotted with dozens of trails like the Die Hard Trail in Loboc, Bohol.

Rock Climbing

Rock climbing has caught on big in the Philippines. There are currently about a dozen indoor walls in Metro Manila, plus great outdoor sites near Mania. Montalban, with its limestone cliffs as high as 300 feet, is a popular destination. There are also terrific cliffs near Baguio in the north, and down south in Atimonan, Quezon. But for a truly exotic rock climbing experience, check out the spectacular cliffs at El Nido and Coron; near the world-class beach resorts of Palawan.

Trekking

The Philippines is full of great trekking and mountaineering spots. Mountaineers flock to the nation’s highest peaks, like Mount Pulag in the north and Mount Apo, the country’s highest peak, in the southern island of Mindanao. But there are other great hiking and trekking sites, like the eerily beautiful Mount Pinatubo crater. Light treks can also be enjoyed in the outlying provinces of Metro Manila, like Laguna, Batangas, and Bulacan.

Cave Exploration

The Philippines is a haven for cave exploration enthusiasts. The caves in Sagada feature spectacular lime formations. These caves are also ancestral burial sites for the local indigenous people. the famous Callao cave has a “chapel” made of gothic-like arches formed by stalagmites and stalactites. And at dusk, visitors are treated to the sights of thousands of bats streaming out of the mouth of the cave. Meanwhile in Palawan, you can explore the St. Paul Subterranean River, the world’s longest underground waterway. No doubt there are still hundreds of fascinating caves in the Philippines that are still waiting to be discovered.

Bird Watching

The Philippines is truly a birdwatcher’s dream. The country is home to over 760 species of birds, including some of the rarest species in the world. The Candaba Swamp in Pampanga is a well-known bird sanctuary. As a stopover for birds migrating from the north Asia, rare birds like the Eurasian spoonbill and schrenck’s bittern have been spotted there. The Olango Island Wildlife Sanctuary, near Cebu, is also a paradise for birdwatchers. Over 50 different species of migratory birds have been spotted here, including the rare Chinese egret.

This would probably the last letter you will read from me. Its not because I will stop loving you. Doing so would be a sin, but just that I think its enough that you already know the feelings I have inside for you. You have become my inspiration in everything I do in the hope of becoming the perfect one for you. But I guess what I am will never be enough for you.

It has been very nice being with you. Time just slipped away when we talked about the things that never really mattered to me before until you made me aware of them that was when I discovered that may things are indeed interesting. Well maybe its not the topic itself but the way you expressed yourself in the voice that lingers in my ears and words that echo eternally in my mind. All those things have made me happy more that anything. I never expected that after then would come great sorrow when I realized that they were never meant for me.

Loving you has made a mixed feeling of joy and sorrow. I cant really explain the feeling and I dont want to please dont think that I regret having known you because you are the most memorable gift that fate has blessed my life with. You still are and always be.I guess when you’re gone, ill stop living. Without you life will hold no more meaning. Even so I know time will heal the wounds created but the scars will always be there to remind me that I have loved and lost someone as good as you.

Yikes! I’ll be spending my holidays to Dubai this weekend ’cause I’m quite bored already here in Abu Dhabi. My life here sucks! Its quite boring, tiring and same old scenario which is home to work, work to home. Thanks to my friends who invites me to come and enjoy with them. I actually visited Dubai for several times already with my relatives here in Abu Dhabi. We been to The Dubai Mall where one of the best aquarium is located. Its really awesome and fantastic! Aside from that, we also been to Mercato Mall. Its one of the great structure of Mall I’ve been aside from what I’ve seen in Tokyo, Japan. Dubai has actually a lot of amazing scenery to offer you if you want to visit their place. But before you decide to visit this place you must have to be aware on their weather condition ’cause during May to September this place is pretty hot. But still awesome to visit of course! At least if you’ll decide to be here during those months you’ll definitely catch the hottest place on earth.

Actually, when I first arrive Abu Dhabi last year I was really shock on their weather condition ’cause its really hot but as time passes by I was used on it. For your information you’ll already reached Dubai from Abu Dhabi for about 2 hours by Bus and maybe 1 and half hour by personal car. So, if you got a plan to spend your Holidays in Dubai drop me a message here I’ll meet you too.

Anyway, I’m already half excited on my Dubai exit this weekend. I’ll be seeing my friends there and probably they’ll tour me around to those places I have never been yet like The Pyramids. Wish me luck everyone!

Many of here also loves to reminisce the past. Past that simply pictures the lives of our ancestors. Where we came from, our several heritage, and eventually our culture. Traveling to a heritage place of Vigan City is such a great honor and it really feels good that even until this present time still the place is preserve and continuing to go further.

The historic town of Vigan was inscribed in the World Heritage List in November 1999 because of its outstanding development in architecture, urban planning, and landscape design. It also serves as a testimony to a cultural tradition which has disappeared.

The name Vigan was derived from “”Biga”", a giant taro plant that grows abundantly along the banks of the Mestizo River. This river was central in the development of trade and community activities in Vigan during the 16th to the 19th centuries. Established in the 16th century, Vigan is the best preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia. Its architecture reflects the coming together of cultural elements from elsewhere in the Philippines and from China with those from Europe to create a unique culture and townscape without parallel anywhere in East and Southeast Asia.

Al Fresco is a small but cozy 3-Star resort located in the middle of the Matabungkay Strip. They have 8 Air-conditioned rooms, a Dining Hall, Sala/Lanai area cozy enough for your afternoon readings and lounging, and a Veranda overlooking the entire ocean. How to Get there:

From Manila, Proceed to Tagaytay and head toward Nasugbu for 32km. Turn right after the Sea Oil Gas Station and drive 5.5 km (passing the sugar mill on your left) to the T-Junction(Shell Gas Station on the Left) Turn left and drive 12km, through the town of Lian, until you reach the Matabungkay Beach sign. Turn right and proceed 1.5km. Turn right on the cement road parallel to the beach. Al Fresco Beach Resort is on the left after about 300 meters.

A set of bicycles. There’s a plenty of bicycle I’ve seen in Tokyo ’cause most Japanese people really loves to pedal. In fact, even those little children were so pedaling their little cute bicycle.

Its been 4 days had passed already when we arrive from our quite long vacation in Iligan City. A place were I grew up and had build up my dreams and aspirations. A place were my goals and plans had been molded. A place where I left my heart. I really had a great time on our vacation back home. We celebrated my Nephews birthday which turns out to be a reunion of my whole family. Hopefully next year or sooner we could be together again to celebrate.

Anyhow, our journey back to Davao was one of a kind! Its my first time to see the beautiful and amazing over seeing place of Bukindnon. You hear it right! Together with my family and my Moms cousins we happened to witness the God given paradise of Bukidnon. I never thought that there’s a place like what I’ve seen. Its absolutely amazing! I can’t give you the specific place name but all I know is its the highest peek of Bukidnon’s place were you’ll be able to see the entire land.

This place is indeed amazing! So, if you guys got your chance to visit he place of Bukidnon don’t ever dare to forget the said place that I had been. Its totally perfect I assure you that! Have a great day everyone!

Carabao Island, part of San Jose town, is found at the southern most tip of Romblon. It is a 15-minute boat ride from the smaller island of Boracay, and has the same white-sand beaches and clear waters but with the added attraction of it’s unique mystical caves. The island offers a more relaxed and laid-back atmosphere which is a direct opposite of it’s sister island of Boracay, a popular tourist haven.
