Boosting Website Ranking...

Its been almost four years since the first day I started blogging. If my mind is still correct I was encourage by my Sis to start creating my blog in one of the free blogging format. She told me that its great to share my thought, ideas, and knowledge concerning one thing as well as share my activities to everyone as this well help them educate their lives to.

Going back to the times I started to leave messages to other blogs, looking for SEO blog and submitting my blogs to those popular search engine optimization company I was really wondering why did I do it. I keep on asking my Sis who happens to be my mentor about the said scenarios I did. Why do I need to ask for exchange links? Why do I need to submit my blogs to those search engines? She replied me that its the best way to earn a Page Rank and site visitors.

At first, I was really curious about boosting my Page Rank and increasing website traffic as I really don’t know what’s going on with those two? In fact, I even check this CqWen who specializes on SEO as I wanted to find out how important ranking is. As time passes by I happened to find out that its a blog / site ranking given to a particular site who writes a reliable and useful articles. As well as site who do have many links from any other website.

From then on, I keep reading articles about SEO tips as to eventually boost my ranking in Google though I know its will definitely take me sometime to do that but still managed. As time passes by when Google updates on PR I was glad to find out that I ranked 3 in this blog and the other one I had. Knowing about it is something worth doing.

Do You Have Parental Burnout?

It's not an uncommon equation; overwork plus under-appreciation equals job burnout. Usually, when you're experiencing job burnout it's time to reevaluate whether the job you're doing is right for you. However, when the job you're burning out on is parenting, that's not an option. Parental Burnout is actually pretty common. Many parents are chronically tired, stressed-out and irritable. After all, working all day, keeping a house organized and keeping your kids happy and healthy is a lot of work.

In fact, according to Robin F. Goodman, PhD., a clinical psychologist and Director of the A Caring Hand, Billy Esposito Foundation Bereavement Center, parental burnout is often related to trying to be a good parent. "It often can start from a good place, such as wanting the best for children, but can head into feeling pressured to meet an impossible standard and/or pressuring children to meet impossible standards," Goodman explains.

Most of the signs of parental burnout are the same as they are with any other job burnout. After all, says Goodman, "burnout is related to one’s relationship to their job," and parenting is indeed a job. Daniel Buccino, a director of the Baltimore Psychotherapy Institute and an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, is of the opinion that it's probably the hardest job you'll ever have. "It's a little-talked about secret," he says, " so being prepared for that from going into it makes a difference."

How can you know whether you're experiencing parental burnout? Here's a list of signs to look for:

*Irritability and testiness. According to the experts, this may spill over into your career environment. "If a parent's feeling stress at home, they may be more testy at work," explains Buccino. "It's hard to manage the work-home balance. Sometimes they'll feel as if they're not doing well at either."

*Resentfulness, a lack of joy, guilt, anger and feelings of frustration and inadequacy. Goodman states that these types of feelings can frequently be related to feeling as though you have no control in or aren't being rewarded by your job. "Certainly," she reminds, "Children provide their own types of rewards-- like kisses and doing well in school--but they are not always immediate."

*Withdrawal, detachment or a lack or "presence" with your children. It's usually an extreme case in which a parent feels so overwhelmed that she gives up parenting entirely, but it's not unusual for stressed-out parents to "let go" a little bit and be less involved in their children's everyday lives.

Though parental burnout is common, it doesn't have to be the norm for you. Buccino metaphorically speaks of the speech on airplanes in which parents are instructed to put oxygen masks on themselves before their children. The oxygen mask in his scenario? Babysitters. Goodman agrees, stating the need for vacation or mental health days. "Take a break," she says."No one can do a job 24/7 and, as your own boss, make sure to approve time off."

Here are a few other simple things you can do to address parental burnout and avoid getting to the point of complete exhaustion.

*Pace yourself. According to Buccino, parenting should be a marathon, not a sprint. There's time enough for everything, it doesn't have to be done all at once.

*Have a support network. It's okay to call on family and friends for help or even just to talk.
*Be realistic. Make sure what you expect from yourself as a parent and from your children is reasonable and manageable.
*Avoid comparison. Goodman informs us that it's unlikely that your neighbor really is "Martha Stewart and Super Nanny rolled all into one," so you shouldn't aspire to be like somebody you're not.

Parental burnout may be common, but it's not inevitable. Taking care of yourself and your relationship with your partner is a big part of being a healthy parent. Find a babysitter and, as Goodman says, "Find what nourishes you and indulge in small or big ways."

People who find themselves at ease and satisfied through collecting things they like. As we noticed there people out there who loves to collect coins, cards, dolls, cars and all other things that interest man which somehow define them as humans.

But keep in mind that collections isn't only about spending so much cash just owe the item you want as additional to your collections. Some people also collect items which is out from the trash. Some might collect items which is also out from used items and reassembled it.

Collections is does not matter its new or old as long as it satisfies yourself somehow. For instance, there are people who loves to buy gold coins as additional collections to their coins. Even if how expensive it is the bottomline is it satisfies them and somehow inspires them to collect and find some more.

However, collecting things maybe expensive somehow but keep track on the good things that those collections contributes in you as you drive your way up to your goal. Enjoy collecting!

Facts about Asthma!

British scientists claim to have identified a key element in the development of chronic asthma. Remodeling occurs when the small airways in the lungs of people change gradually with time as their lungs respond to the presence of particles such as dust, pollen and mould in the air they breathe. Scientists from King’s College London and Imperial College London said that an important aspect of airway remodeling is changes to the muscle cells, which line the airways.

In people with asthma, these cells tend to multiply and become larger, increasing their ability to squeeze the airways and cause breathing difficulties. There is no known way of reversing airway remodeling once it has occurred. “It is widely believed that this remodeling in Asthma is in large part responsible for the chronicity of the disease,” said Professor Tak Lee, Head of the Division of Asthma and Allergy Research at King’s, who led the research.

“There are many features responsible for remodeling but a key component of this process involves an increased amount of smooth muscle in the airways,” Lee added. The study appears in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Facts about Breast Cancer!

Tan Ee Lyn – One of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer may originate in the cells lining the mammary ducts, which can be targeted in the fight against the disease, experts in Australia say.
Add Image
Basal breast cancers account for 20 percent of all breast cancers and are among the most aggressive. They occur in women carrying mutations of the tumour-suppressing gene BRCA1 and have long been thought to originate in breast stem cells.

However, a research team led by Jane Visvader and Geoff Lindeman from The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research in Australia has found that the real culprits may instead be pre-cancerous cells lining the mammary ducts.

The finding opens the way for developing new drugs or therapies to treat this form of breast cancer, Lindeman said. “BRCA1 women have approximately a 65 percent lifetime chance of developing breast cancer. Following surgery, treatment options available to these women are often limited to chemotherapy and radiotherapy, so identifying new treatment and prevention strategies is a priority for us,” he said in a statement.

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women and one of the leading causes of their premature death. In the study, the researchers compared normal, non-cancerous breast tissues taken from BRCA1 mutation carriers, women not carrying the mutant gene, and women without the mutant gene but who had a positive family history of the disease.

Tissues from women with the mutant gene had high numbers of pre-cancerous cells lining the mammary ducts, they found. These pre-cancerous cells were also genetically more similar to basal breast tumour cells, they wrote in their paper, which was published in Nature Medicine.

“They are clearly abnormal cells as they have aberrant growth properties and the population is enlarged in BRCA1 mutation carriers,” said Visvader in an email to Reuters.

One way to prevent this cancer was to target these pre-cancerous mammary duct cells, she added. “Our gene profiling studies have revealed genes that could serve as possible tumour markers that can be used in breast cancer diagnosis — and has helped to identify possible therapeutic targets to treat (and possibly prevent) basal breast tumours,” Visvader said. Future work in this area is likely to help the next generation of women.”

Safety Matters for your child...

• Is it suited to your child’s developmental level? Most toys bear a “recommended age” sticker, which should be taken as a starting point in the selection process. Be realistic about your child’s abilities and level of maturity when choosing an age-appropriate toy. Toys that have projectiles, for example, are never suitable for a child under age 4 — and even some 6-year-olds aren’t mature enough to handle them. Likewise, if your 3-year old still puts everything into his mouth, continue to steer clear of toys and games with small parts and pieces.

• Think big. Until your child turns 3, toy parts should be bigger than his mouth to avoid the possibility of choking. To determine whether a toy poses a choking risk, try fitting it through a toilet paper roll. If a toy or part of a toy can fit inside the cylinder, it’s not safe.

• Is the toy too heavy? Could your baby be harmed if it fell on him? If so, pass.

• Look for toys that are well put together. Make sure tails are securely sewn, seams of stuffed animals are reinforced, and paint is not peeling. Stuffed animals should also be free of buttons, yarn, ribbons, and anything else your child could yank off and put in his mouth.

• Is your child physically ready for this toy? For example, parents of older kids may buy a bike one size too big so as not to have to buy a new bike the next year. This tactic can lead to serious injury if a child doesn’t have the physical skills to control the bigger bike.

• Is the toy in good condition? Used toys passed down from older relatives or siblings or bought at yard sales can be worn or frayed, which can be sometimes pose a danger. Examine all new or used toys for buttons, batteries, ribbons, eyes, beads, and plastic appendages that could easily be chewed or snapped off.

• Does the toy have a string or cord longer than 12 inches? A cord can too easily be wrapped around a young child’s neck, causing strangulation. Once your child can climb up on his hands and knees, remove crib gyms and hanging mobiles from his crib. Be particularly vigilant about older toys. For example, an older model of a popular play kitchen may have a phone attached with a potentially deadly cord, while the latest model of the same kitchen has the more current and safer cordless phone.

• Does the toy use small magnets? In 2007, the CPSC named magnets the #1 hidden home hazard. Small, powerful magnets are often used in toys, and may fall out of the toy and be swallowed by a child. Two or more swallowed magnets (or a magnet and a metal object) can be attracted to each other through intestinal walls, causing twisting and pinching of the intestines, holes, blockages, infection, and worse if not discovered and treated promptly. As of August 2007, one death and 86 injuries from magnets had been reported to the CPSC, and 8 million magnetic toys had been recalled. The agency recommends keeping toys with magnets away from kids under 6 years old.

Trivia: Cheese to live longer?

Turn away from by many source of artery-clogging cholesterol, calcium-rich dairy products consumed in childhood may in some cases add years to one’s life.

According to the study, published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) 65-year follow-up to a 1930s survey of more than 1 300 families in England and Scotland showed that a diet high in milk, cheese and butter did not lead to higher rates of cardiovascular disease. Moreover, children with the largest intake of calcium from dairy enjoyed a lower death rate from strokes.

Heart disease risk factors begin in childhood, but evidence to date has been inconclusive as to whether dairy consumption at an early age helps or hurts. Some experts have argued that the high fat content in full-butter dairy products contributes to heart problems later in life.

No evidence was found of a link between intake of dairy products and either of these causes of mortality. Surprising, however, childhood intake of calcium – mainly from milk and milk-derived comestibles – corresponded to a lower rate of death by stroke. “Furthermore, childhood diets rich in dairy or calcium were associated with lower all-cause mortality in adulthood,” the study concluded. The authors cautioned that further studies were needed to confirm the findings, which may result in part from other factors such as income levels and occupation.

Life Realities...

As humans, everyone of us is entitled to exist in this mortal world. We came from flesh of dust we will returm in a flesh of dust. But before those times we are given a chance to explore and enjoy the beauty of life. God made us everything free for us to enjoy every creation he made for us. We were gifted with mind for us to developed and explore things. We are gifted with unconditional love for us to value each other. What's more important than taking care of your own family? What's more fulfilling than seeing those person you care and love at peace? What's more else you can ask if you have the wealth of knowledge to earn a living and survive, and a lovely familt who supports you all the way? I guess, nothing more you can ask aside from good health.

As we grow older and as we find the real meaning of our extistence we mostly share what we have except to those people who doesn't have a heart. I don't condemn them well in fact I pray for them that they well find what they search and what they discern to have.

Anyhow, I just one thing to share with you about elderly members of your family. Do you think you will exist without them? Do you think you will savor the fruits you've achieved if you don't know how to value those persons around you? I guess, you can but I'm sure you will not be happy indeed. So, if you have a family member who do need your full attention espcecially if its your Grand-Mother and Father or and Uncle, relatives or even just a friend an stanger you meet be nice to them and pray for their safety and health. Specifically, it obvious that your Grand-Mother or Grand-Father needs you to accompany them living a life. If they need something like medicines, clothings, kendall briefs, and some other valuable things be patient to provide it for them. Remember, you'll arrived on their stage too and besides they are your family. So, extend your love, care and understanding to those people who needs it and don't expect for return. God will do the rest.

Nicest Things about plants....

1. Plants have in their structure xylem tubes that transport water and mineral salts and phloem tubes that carry the food. Both types of tubes are produced by a meristematic tissue called cambium. Xylem is produced inward, phloem outward. Death xylem layers form the wood.

2. The green pigment called chlorophyll allows the photosynthesis through which plants synthesize sugars coming from water and carbon dioxide. Even brown or red leaves contain chlorophyll. Only parasite plants, like dodders and fungi lack chlorophyll. Sugars stock sun energy. In greenhouses, artificial light and supplementary carbon dioxide boost photosynthesis. But plants also need nitrogen, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, calcium and potassium, plus minor amounts of other elements, for synthesizing all the necessary organic chemicals. Most plants store energy as starch.

3. Plants breathe all the time, breaking down the sugars for getting energy. Plants also sweat, mainly through their leaves. Water goes out through small pores called stoma. This creates an absorption force transmitted to the roots. In wet environments, plants sweat less, but in dry, windy areas, the water loss is high. Plants adapted to dry and hot weather lack leaves (cacti) or have special changes in their leaves that impede water loss, like thick cuticles and less stoma whose opening can be controlled.

4. Plants growing in the shadow have larger leaves; plants can also direct their leaves towards the light source, a phenomenon called phototropism. Because plants lack a nervous system, plants’ reactions are controlled by hormones. Gibberellins are involved in stimulating plants’ growth, while abscisic acid inhibits the plant growth, causing the leaves and mature fruits to fall.

Geotropism is the plant’s reaction to gravitation: their roots always grow downward. Chemotropism is the plant’s reaction to chemicals, like auxins, hormones that control plants’ development and the growth rate of various parts. Auxins are concentrated in roots and shoots. Too much auxin inhibits the growth. If a plant is placed horizontally, auxins accumulate in the lower part, causing the curbed vertical growth of the plant.

Auxins are more concentrated in the shadowed part of the plant; this way they stimulate those cells to grow more rapidly, turning the shoot towards the light. This is a method through which a hormone creates movement. Auxins are involved also in the opening of the flowers, being influenced by light and temperature. Heat makes the petals grow faster causing the opening of the blossoms while the cold can revert this process.

In vines, the growth hormones concentrate into the opposite side to the support, fact that causes the curly growth around the support. As auxins control the shoots’ development, they generate the bushy (or not) aspect of a plant. When shoots are cut or destroyed, the auxins levels decrease, turning on “sleeping” buds that produce new shoots.

5. Plants growing in the tropical areas experience relatively short daylight all round the year, while those from higher latitudes experience very long daylight during the vegetation time in the summer. That’s why tropical plants cultivated in temperate areas, like Dahlia brought from Mexico, will flower during the shorter autumn days.

6. Today, there are about 400,000 species of plants. First plants going out of the water (mosses and ferns) are still connected to wet environments, due to physiological and reproductive reasons. First flowered plants (gymnosperms) depended on wind for pollination and seed dispersal. Angiosperms (fruit plants) evolved with the pollinating insects.

7. The oldest known “plants” are 3.1 billion years old blue-green “algae” (a type of photosynthetic bacteria). These plants still form scums on lawns or forest trails and are the first organisms to have made photosynthesis. Bacteria can divide in 20-30 minutes, and a sole cell can produce hundreds of millions of bacteria in 10 hours. Most bacteria have about 0.00001 mm in length.

8. About 1.5 billion years ago, the first real unicellular algae appeared. They still make most of the phytoplankton. Euglena, a unicellular alga, can also feed the way animals do. Today, unicellular algae grow from the oceans to lakes and wet places (like shadowed walls). 590 million years ago, there were over 900 species of large pluricellular algae (“sea weeds”). Likens are symbioses between an alga and a fungus. They are so resistant, that they can live at 5,600 (19,000 ft) in Himalaya and are the first pioneers of barren rocks or colonize tree trunks or bones. Some likens are used for achieving turnsole, a chemical indicator that turns red in acid solutions and blue in alkaline solutions.

What is the Difference Between?

What is the difference between aluminum and aluminium?

Aluminum is the American spelling and aluminium is the British spelling for this ductile, malleable silver-white metal. In 1812, its discoverer, Sir H. Davy, first called the metal alumium but then modified the word. This is one of a number of spelling differences between British and American English, such as: aeroplane/airplane, aesthetics/esthetics, colour/color, encyclopaedia/encyclopedia, paralyse/paralyze. The principle differences are: 1) a final -l is always doubled after one vowel in stressed and unstressed syllables in British English, but usually only in stressed syllables in American English; 2) some words end in -tre in British English and -ter in American English; 3) some words end in -ogue in British English and -og in American English; 4) some words end in -our in British English and -or in American English; and 5) some verbs end in -ize or -ise in British English, but only in -ize in American English. In common speech, some 4,000 words are used differently in the UK from the United States.

What Color is Your Mind?

Just recently I stumbled upon in one of the sites here in the web that offers an interesting topics to answer. And Guess what I've found out about my Mind? Here...

Your Mind is Green

Of all the mind types, yours has the most balance.

You are able to see all sides to most problems and are a good problem solver.

You need time to work out your thoughts, but you don't get stuck in bad thinking patterns.

You tend to spend a lot of time thinking about the future, philosophy, and relationships (both personal and intellectual).

Its pretty to cool to know that after all the stressful task I do in writing all my deadlines I still found out that I do really had a balance mind! Means, I'll be able to deal any types of situations in life!... Thanks to this!... Get your too! Its great!

Heart Reflections...

Having been through ups and downs…Near and far…Good times and bad times…Break ups and commitments still we are one. Its been 2 and a half years already have passed when I met her in my alma mater. She seem to be so innocent then. But as we grow together though its been a quite long time already that we been so far away from each other ’cause I really have to find my destiny still she’s there to support me along my way. Even if we been to several break ups already still we haven’t separate our ways ’cause there’s one thing that merely binds us. Its what they often called “LOVE”. I don’t know yet right now to were our relationship would be but one thing I know is that as we grow far from each other and just being connected through emails I found out that we both still hold in our dreams that somehow we are meant to be. I guess, what we have experiencing is just part of life realities that basically focusing the sacred and essential feelings of human beings.

As a conclusion, people can make his/her own choice if they stand out on their own eet and be the best as they can. If they choose to stay then so be it. But if they choose to leave then come what may. It was just a matter of choice. What you believe is good then do it but if it goes wrong learn from it. It is where we use to become a wholesome person.

Marketing Outlook...

Marketing the fish to the pet shops, however, was pretty much old school: phone calls, and then the owners would go over to the fish breeders or distributors to look at the product. This could be a time-consuming process, often taking the better part of a week. This was further aggravated by the fact that the product is essentially livestock it had to move fast, otherwise there would be higher mortality rates. Business essentially became a race for time, for the breeders to pass the fish on to the distributors, who can then send it to the shops, and the the shops can finally sell the fish to customers and all this has to be done without the fish getting the worse for wear.

All that, however, has changed with the introduction of telephones with integrated cameras. Filipinos are practically symbiotic with their cellphones, so it’s no surprise that in an arcane business such as aquarium fish, technology has made the business cycle much faster (and therefor, there is a possibility of more profit with the increased number of business cycles).

Weapons of choice are either cellphones with digicams, megapixel digicams, and a PC with an Internet connection. Of course, there are some business compatibility issues: many of the fish breeders are looking for a cellphone with digicam that is waterproof, inasmuch as accidentally dunking a cellphone is a very real concern. But other than that, the business of aquarium fish breeding has become fast and sophisticated. Some fish businessmen keep whole photo galleries of fish in their cellphones, ready to sell at a moment’s notice.
